With livestock you never know (especially fish), If they didn't lie to RonR then being alive several month in their tank is pretty good stock to me.

Don't know too much on ray so google and found this. "sudden ray death?"

That is why I like to buy my fish at Aquarium World where they have a 7 day warranty on their fish.

Losing life stock suck no matter how much you spend. In all honesty, I don't see why it's Fish Gallery fault either.

That is completely ridiculous. why even ask you to come back up their with water samples if they never intended on helping you in the first place? Bad customer service is what that is. They did this to me one time on a pleco...He was dead before I ever got him out of the bag. He was only in there for like an hour and a half but yet it was completely my fault...?

sorry for your loss. I saw those rays in that middle tank and asked about them yesterday. They were there for several months.

If it were me, I'd change the sand ASAP, flush out the tank a few times, and use something like Leslie's or a specified aquarium sand.

I have heard of the same problem you've had (fish dying within a couple hours with no other apparent causes) when using PFS other than Leslie's brand. Actually, two separate cases of the same thing. I don't know why if you've used it before you haven't had problems, but my bet would be on the sand. For PFS, I've learned to use only Leslie's.
