i went to Home Depot today looking for eggcrates to use as as top. I couldn't find then and no one even knew what I was talking about when I asked a bunch of people. Does anyone know what section of the home depot they are in (I don't know their real use, all I know is the aquarium use)? also, in case I have to ask again, what are they regularly used for?

Depending on the HD store you go to, some put it back in hardware, Fencing, wood, ect. It's a light diffuser for the 48X24 fixtures.Comment

Personally I can never find them at Home Depot, but I have no problems finding them at lowe's.. I dont know why, I am sure that they both keep em.. and yes they are near the florescent lights.

My problem is the opposite! Home Depot, on the commercial lighting isle (think all your 24x48 fluorescent flush mount, hanging ceiling type fixtures), usually on the bottom shelf or even stacked on the floor.Originally posted by Zulaab View Post
