as breeding goes i am not really focus on breeding them. i had plan to leave them on that tank once i had my bigger tank for africans. maybe later on i can focus on breeding once i have space and more tanks to keep them safe. right now i jsut want to enjoy them.

If you want to breed em and be very successful, that's probably the way to go. My angels were fine spawning with mollies and plates and tetras as tank mates since they could easily guard the eggs against those guys.

R_ I have had the power go out. They eat the fry. Had some one new over. They eat the fry. Grandkids over. They eat the fry. Breeding pairs need to be left alone. Other then ( you ) doing cleaning and feeding... If you want them to raise the fry. if you dont it can be done...

Troy i know that last time i took everyone out but the angels this time i had no chance to take them out. And its ok i am in no rush to breed them

Troy knows a little something about angels! I do recall now that's why I bought my 37 gallon was to separate the breeders. Otherwise the loaches got to the eggs

R_ as long as they have tank mates. they will keep eating the eggs. they will learn to raise the fry at some piont. if they are left in a tank by them selfs. but there is a lot more to it then that...

once iim done with the move you can come and check them out. it does have a nice hump on the forehead. he is my favorite angel. nice thick body and nice coloration.

Doesn't matter. Sometimes looking at the head shape works but often that's inaccurate. Angelfish have been known to be impossible to sex, unless you can actually see the ovipositor or breeding tube.

i dont know then, but i do have plan on getting more angels. at least 2 more. last time they spawned some eggs did look to be fertil

tell me about it. my brohter in law forgot he had lend me his truck and he took off to his ranch. carless and truck less. the only good thing about it is that the move is in the same complex.

both have different body type. what i believe is the male has more of a circular shape and a bump on the forehead. what i believe is the female is thin, and a long horizontal body and no bump.
