no hurricane clip or traps, i used some stuff they used for building decks.

when i took the pics they were laying on them. i stained the wood then i bolted the doors. you will see in the pictures coming up soon.

Thats what is looks like. Only problem is that they will touch tye floor but the OP isnt done might have something olaned for that that we don't know about

I just placed the Stand in place yesterday and they do open perfectly. i did had to add a little piece of wood on one end to make it balance. but other than that i had no problems the doors open 180 degrees.

The doors are very close to the ground. So I said watch your toes so they dont get caught by the doors

Oh 1/2 clearance perfect height to take off a toes nail. Ouch

Ok smart *** I was trying to save you a little heartache in the future but oh well enjoy your stand bext time you might want to use cabinet grade plywood instead of exterior grade plywood. But

thanks for the info. it was my 1st build and i had most of the wood at the house. if i do decided on a new build i would definitely go with a better good. sorry if i came out as an smart ***, but seemed that you were just making fun instead of giving tips.

R for some one that has never done something like this. you did a good job. You shouldn't know thing like knowing what a kick bord is or cabinet grade plywood is stronger then 2+4's ...

thats what im saying. i gather info from other home made stands and i tho that adding a ply wood cover would be better in looks and in strength to it.
