New Uv hook up

K so i picked this up a lil while back and today it gets hooked up to the 100 tang community

K got it hung under the stand where i want it. Now need to hook up the plumbing to the fx5 and plug in the light

Ok got the light hooked up finally after playing plumber for a while . . . Lol
So its a 25watt , should be a nice addition to the tank. And special thanks to Shawn for helping me tap the 3/4 holes.

Now i just have a big fish mess to clean up and get ready for the meeting at 7

What's the recommended flow rate for a 25W bulb to kill parasites? The FX5 might be too strong for that?

Flow on it said up too like 700, i drilled it from a 1/2 to a 3/4 to handle the larger flow rate.
Online the website says itll take lrg flowrates.

Still have the sam one , a new one is on order. But think the guy who had it didn't realize the quart sleeve wats coated in salt deposits making the light exposure not as good. So it needed some tlc

The water needs a certain length of time in contact with UV light to kill off pathogens. If the flow rate is faster than what's needed that contact time is shortened and you'll be defeating the purpose of having UV.
