Hi how far from the top did you drill the holes

2 Holes atleast with a herbie or bean.
Super duper quiet.
All you hear in my tank is water flowing and no gargle.

My vote was for two returns, one on each end of the tank since the overflow is at the center. If the overflow was offset, then one return at the end furthest away from the overflow.

+1 Voted for the same reason. From the pics it looks like you drilled in the center so two on opposite ends would be the best IMO.
