Re: unexplained illness. with pics!
I believe John snagged the last few available at Jehmco and I did buy one of those. Then I just opted to buy the bulk ingredient. John got me that too.

thanks for the info sunny, it figures i discover a miracle cure as soon as it's taken off the market. lol.Originally posted by SunnyHouTX View PostLol, he's a single serving size crawfish! Nice.
BTW, Binox is no longer available. I now use bulk Nitrofurazone (the active ingredient in Binox) or Bifuran (80% Nitrofurazone, 20% Furazolidone) for even broader spectrum coverage. Pretty sure HAW can order these.

lol! i'm pretty sure he messed up the oscar's pretty face, but EVERY SINGLE FISH in the tank had at least a bit of whatever that stuff was. the yabbie did frequently harass the catfish in particular, i've seen him grab a fin and go for a ride on the RTC a few times, can't really say i blame him! :) it looked like fun! but while everyone's constant raggedy fins were definitely his doing, this was more than that. i'm thinking fungal. but whatever it was, it came on strong and super fast, but it's already almost totally disappeared again! woohoo! :)

Right on. I couldn't remember if he was in there or not when I saw the tank but I figured that's because I'm forgetful...lol
Seriously cool critter. But yeah, doesn't look like he plays nice!
We had an extra feeder mudbug in Suki's old tank while we were waiting for her to settle in, seeing him tooling around in there like a king has me really debating some of those self-cloning type. Having a tank full of this could be fun...
But anyway, sorry to derail. Maybe it is just an injury/bacterial chain reaction. looks like you're getting it under control, good call on getting those meds in so fast...

it was this female pink convict covered in some kind of fuzzy white stuff, as all my other babies were.Originally posted by mistahoo View PostWhat the hell was in that first pic?

sunny you are very much right.. i've never used binox before, but holy carp that stuff kicks bass! that is what is giving the water that funny color, it's a yellow powder, and i only used 2/3 the recommended dose! now if only i knew what was wrong in the first place...

Wish I were better about fishie ailments, I have no idea what you've got going on there. How long has the giant cray been in there?
Hopefully the meds knock all this back! Good luck, hon.
