Angel Take Own Life

Suicide is how I see it too. I have ben working on making a tank reased angel that looks like a wild altum. She was a tank reased altum. As tank reased loss their color. I mated her with a gold crown. To bring back some of their color. The fry came out looking more altum then she did. With a reddest gold top. With the abillity to drop all their colors and strips and turn silver or change their color to fit their mood.
I can't use her mate with her babies. they will come out looking more like him and I don't want that. I think I am going to give him to my duaghter-inlaw

She was my best breeder. I sold 140 of her babys. Always took good care of her fry too. I'm not sure what to do with her mate...

You mentioned you still have some of her babies. Maybe he'll bond with one of them when they get older.

I am sorry she did that. It is upsetting and frustrating when that happens. :(

Sorry to hear. I'll never understand why fish do that. We call it "going on a walkabout", and it kills me every time. I get attached to my fish, too- I think all good caregivers do...

If it makes you feel any better I lost around 10-12 fish in a week.

No it doesnt, i lost 25 fish, 10 RCS, 1 Amano all in less than 2 minutes.

sorry to hear that man. it does suck to lose a fish and maily the best of all of them. i remember the night i lost all my fish to the co2.

its funny how sometimes people cannot uinderstand a connection to 'just a fish' but can expect their parents to understand how upsetting it is if they cant find their favorite sweater or if they loose at a video game. sorry for your loss troy!

One of my Best Angelfish jumped out of her tank this weekend. The tank has a glass top but does have a 8"+6" gap. She found it.
We were out of town for the weekend and came home to find her on top of the tank.
Our big tank had 12 juv. angels and the alfa killed the 2 smallest in the tank.
My fish get fed every day and I think doing with out food for 2 nights made them crazy. The kids were at home. they never seen a thing. They didn't even think about feeding them. But I don't blame them. I'm just upset. They think it funny that i'm so upset over a fish. That make me mad...

that sucks man. I would be upset too all the time and care given you kinda get attached.
