aquarium peat moss

I need some aquarium safe peat moss for my canister filter to lowe rthe ph naturally. I can't seem to find anything that states its aqaurium safe.
I don't want to add somethign I am unsure of. I know others use this method, where do you get your peat moss?

i dont use peat moss myself, but looks like amazon has some peat granules from fluval for $11 and has prime shipping. just would need a bag to keep them out of the impeller. i honestly dont know if thats a good price or not since i never used it.

I have some eheim peat around here. Un-used. I have used peat in the past but never moss. Peat bog is what the peat pellets are made from. It does work but like drift wood turns the water a pretty tea color. Not really sure about moss but I think it can be boiled or blanched. To make it safe.

yes that was in the replies about the product that it does release tannins into the water. some people said they found a balance where it softened but never changed the water color
