  • Led lights

Been looking for 48" lights for my tank. Gone back and forth between t5 and LED and the more i read the more i get confused. I think I am leaning towardLED because of the long term costs My goal is to have enough light to grow algae on my rocks. Can someone give me definitive answer on can LED lights grow algae? If so point me in the right direction on what lights to get. I have seen ones that are 3w, 1w, higher par, lower par. I've been looking at eBay and a trying to stay under $150. Thank you for all suggestions and advice.

on my 75gal i recently put on a marineland LED light and i like it. can give daylight and a blue night effect. reviews were descent.

i only got the single bright and it lights well enough for me (but i have no live plants). since its a concentrated strip, i am unsure if placement of the plants would matter. it gives a 6500k spectrum i believe and they sell a double bright too.

dont know if it will grow algae. my two plecos keep the tank void of algae.

here is the link to the double bright. you would need the 48-60inch which runs around $85 by Amazon. the 48-60in means 48inch is the unit length, so it would span your whole tank without needing to use the extension bars.
