Yeah....that why I didn't use the new stuff . This new stuff also has a lot of small rocks / gravel . As I'm looking at it now....it looks like they mix some poor grade sand......pavers sand / play sand.....and some crushed pea gravel . On top of that....can you believe that the bag has the nerve to advertise on the outside ....as being.....Washed......Triple Screened....Dried....and Sanatized . Lol !!! If this stuff has been washed......then I would hate to see what it looked liked before they bagged it up . Lol

I bought some from Texsun for my wife. She wanted some white sand to make colored sand for my 3 yr old granddaughters birthday party.
It is still a tan colored sand very similar to the Leslie's pool sand and it does say aquarium sand on the outside of the bag.
I just bought some 2 weeks ago. I actually wanted to see if it was white because I have the Leslie's LPS in my tank.

The new Leslie's PFS is almost clay colored, dark reddish brown. TexSun's PFS is nearly white, but definitely there's a light beige tint to it. Neither of the bags have "aquarium sand" printed on them anywhere... So I'm not sure if you got a special batch or something?
