  • Where to get new/large tank

I have finally bitten the bullet and will be installing new floors in my house in a few weeks. As a result, the 55g tank is coming down, and I want to take the opportunity to upgrade to a larger tank. I also actually have some money to spend on the tank so I'm thinking of buying a new one or a very good condition used setup.

I'm looking for a 6' tank, probably 150-200 gallons in size. Prefer long/wide over tall. This will be a show tank in the main portion of the house, and probably the last upgrade for the next 10-15 years. I would like to run a sump on it eventually, but will settle for my mish-mash of existing filters at first (stockpiles are good). I over plant and under stock so I'm not worried about filtration right off the bat.

So, where would you shop for a tank?
Are the all glass/aqueon good enough quality at this size or should I be looking at more expensive brands?

    Thanks for any help!

I wouldn't buy from them for a tank this large. Try ADG. Best store I know of that gives great deals on full setups, new or used.

I didn't think ADG was open to the public? Is there a contact person to work with?

+1 setup an appointment. Well worth it. Or you can just call or email and ask what used setups they have. Usually comes with nice filters
