  • Assistance Needed on Eheim 2217

    Good afternoon.

When I purchased my new filter system.....about 6 months ago.....all I did was the basic attachment routine. I didn't bother with the other way (I hate to sound ignorant, but I am, but I'm not sure what the correct language is for what I'm talking about) where you put a connection on the tubing which makes hooking and unhooking to clean so much easier. Still with me?

I pulled out the instruction manual and I'm not sure I can do this without scr*wing up something I can fix so I was wondering if I could entice someone with more knowledge to come to my apartment and do it for me? I will gladly pay for your gas and services. I live about 2 miles west of Lake Conroe on SH 105 W. I might even throw in a beer as a 'tip'.

I'm a little lost but it sounds like your having issues with a quick disconnect. Can you post pictures of the actual issue?

I'd help if you were closer.

This guy isn't exactly an expert, but it may help . . . there is a part 2/2 depending on what exactly your issue is.

        Scarecrow : I haven't got a brain... only straw.
Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

oh by the way if you made the connections to the canister itself its the same thing just don't leave to much hose on your output side as it tends to kink and slow your output
