magnetic algae scrubbers

i was wondering if anyone have tried anything other than "mag float". i've been using the mag float for a little while now but it seems like i would have to go over the area quite i few times before it completely clean. is there anything better than mag float? i dont like how i have sand substrate and the mag float gets caught in it also. what would you recommend? i've heard a few good things about "algae free" but id like to hear your experience with what youre using.

Trust me, it punks mag float bad. I would say they are 5 times as strong.

Just go up in tank thickness is you want something stronger.

I agree... the biggest mag float doesn't hold a dime to the smaller algae free.

I personally rather use the scraper stick.

best way to get a mag float to work is small little circle motion... Ya know wax on wax off....

I also only clean the algae off the front glass I leave the algae on the sides and back alone

Algae Free is 1000x better than ANY Mag Float. You get what you pay for.
