Definitely. They are reusable, too. I'm currently using them to hold some (very fine) substrate from my old tank to help seed the new one, then I'll switch back to purigen. They're made of a sort of plastic mesh, so I could really scrub them to get all the muck off when I went to wash them.

the purigen is really fine so it needs a special bag. my 100mL bags definately are not felt but some kind of tightly woven plastic so that you can recharge the bags. sunnys recommendation is best i think, i just got a special buy on the 100mL.

I was placing an order online and decided to buy some fine mesh bags to put my purigen in rather than buy pre-packed 100g bags. I order some 100 micron bags and when they come in they look like felt, not the typical mesh. Is this normal or did I just order a cheap bag?

Nope but I'll figure something out.

U gotta be careful on the panty hose bc they rip easily and when it spills into ur tank it is no joke it takes forever to get it out :) trust me it happened to me before

    Purigen

If I got some of the bags is purigen one of those things that I would only need 2 bags for 200g or do most people use extra? I will be running carbon through my Eheim and plan to put the purigen in my W/D.

I would guess that's what it is.

I've been using the purigen packs they have. Its convenient you don't have to mess with too large a hole, bags breaking, closing the bag... let seachem take care of it.

I don't have the info handy, but I think each pack will treat ~100gal.
