  • Large River Rocks

Does anyone know a good place around Houston to get large round river rocks? I would like to collect natural rocks, but know of no rivers around here. I will be driving to Port Lavaca Saturday and back Sunday on HW59 and HW35 if you know a streams or rivers I will cross.

If all else fails where is a good stone yard south of I10 in Houston area.

    Thanks

The last time i visited these yards Alamo Stone had the best choices and prices.

I'm also in the market for a few large river stones. Let me know what you find.

Both of these places are excellent. Alamo Stone has more variety, I found them to be a bit more expensive.

Also, the people at both places are EXTREMELY nice.

Have any of you been to the Alamo stone in Stafford? Do they have the full selection? I am going to swing by a mulch yard close to my house Sat. morning on my way out of town and check them, but they are a small place and don't have much rock. Maybe I will get lucky.

I called Mulch-X-Press down the street from my house and they said they have it, but I will be going by Sat. morning to see the selection.

They had some good rocks. Well worth checking due to the close location. Got all the rocks I needed.
