  • Little Rubber Ring - Rena XP4

I am looking for a small rubber ring that goes to my Rena XP4. It goes between the magnetic rotor and the propeller piece. I tried checking on a parts site here:

But I couldn't find just the rubber ring, only the rotor, bearing and shaft piece. The filter gets noisy without it. I tried using rubber bands with limited success.

Is there a hardware or some sort of plumbing supply store that might have this part? I saved the snapped ring so I can match up the size.

I got a entire Rotor assembly that I can sell you. I am not sure which o-ring goes between the impeller and the rotor, but if you get no help I''l sell you just the rotor 3/4 of what Igot it off that site for.

Its still in the packaging, never used.

It seems insane buying a $30 piece of equipment for one tiny rubber ring. It's like buying a new computer cause your mouse is broken.

If I could find someone that had braces with those rubber bands, those things might work better.

If I can't seem to fix this sonic problem though I will take that rotor assembly, thanks.

Are you sure there's supposed to be an o-ring there? Did you buy your XP4 brand new or used? I have three XP4s, and none of mine have an o-ring there. I'm wondering if someone added it on their own? I had one XP4 that was noisy for no reason that I could find. Maybe someone had a similar problem and was able to work around it by adding the o-ring?

I just took my XP4 apart to look for this o-ring and I cannot find a o-ring that goes between impeller and rotor. In fact my rotor and impeller are all one piece.

If yours is apart this might make a really good case for why its making so much noise, because its broken.

Plumbing supply shops (and Home Depot and Lowes -to a limited extent) have uncountable sizes of "O" rings . They have even given to me as it is not worth writing a ticket for $0.05.
