Repair/Seal Rena XP4 Canister

I hate this pump, I've had problems with it since day 1. Only about six months old, the thing is split on one of the seems on the mechanism part. It is making a rattling sound, but the leaking through the seam has stopped for now. What kind of seal or glue can I use to fix it?

After that, I am getting rid of this piece of junk.

So, the top piece is leaking? If so, I may want to buy it off you. I have a Xp3 that uses the same pump (top part) and have been wanting to upgrade to an Xp4. PM me a price if you're interested is letting it go. I live in Sugar Land, as well.

aquarium sealant

Yeah the top piece is split like I dropped it but there is no cracks ( and BTW, I never dropped it), it is only slightly along plastic molding seams. I can't hear it right now with music on. But it has a slight rattle.

A little sealant and I am convinced the noise would be reduced. This aquarium sealant, where can I get it Troph? And cause Home Depot can be like a labrynth, what section?

you can get it in the paint department over by the caulking,last time i cheked they stoped carrying aquarium sealant.but you can give it a try if you cant find some i have a half tube that we can use to seal it up!

Any Petco or Petsmart will have it.

my xp3 crapped out on me as well along with the top part check the connector area as well both tend to leak.
