Mines been in a 255g system and fed daily with twice weekly water changes and its taken this long to grow.

Compared to everyone else on the wwweb that keeps them its a petty decent growth rate but to me it isn't.

Yup. The striped ones can be more commonly found at most petsmarts though

Hey Mista! Yeah the spotted one I actually got at a Petco. They can be found at them but I would say there is 1 spotted for every 10 they get.

i had a striped and a spotted... both about 8"! i loved them, but sold them. all they did was hide. why keep a fish i never get to see? :) nick, be careful what you buy over there.. like you don't know already.

I finally got to see my irwini. He was swimming in circles around my powerhead and swimming up and down my canister intake.
