So I bought a rubber lip pleco for my daughters tank yesterday. The shrimp and snails haven't been able to keep up with the algae growth. I went to check on it today and it was no where to be found. Do plecos bury under substrate? Or any ideas?

He may be hiding really effectively. Give it a couple days and see if he surfaces.All bleeding stops eventually...Comment

Put something tasty for him to much on... maybe that'll entice him out. Like cucumber or zuccini. Place it in the tank close to lights off, and keep an eye out for him. Good luck.30Long: L134 Leopard Frog Plecos X16, Corydoras Sterbai X9, Endlers X4

These are good lil plecos. They arent the most rare ones, but they do get the job done and their max size is like 4 inch. Iv got two of these in my 100. They are good hiders, not found them to.be a jumper at all tho. Do u have the reg type or the black spot?5 gal baby hecqui grow out

Did you find anyway to get ur pleco to come out? I have one too and for the last two weeks he has been very scarce. The first two days he was out all the time, now I barely catch a glimpse of him at night...Live Fast, Die Young, Leave A Good Looking Corpse!
