FYI... Flat Flyer & Inspector Plecos In Stock at the Vil
Re: FYI... Flat Flyer & Inspector Plecos In Stock at the
Did they happen to have any BN? I went to Megans and Tropical fish depot and neither had any. Tropical may have had some but 50% of the tanks didnt have their lights on.
Aqua zoo is closed for family circumstances , so no luck there yet either.
Re: FYI... Flat Flyer & Inspector Plecos In Stock at the
Guess where im going today...., hopefully there will be some nice big females there.
I need to buy some breeding caves to, if they dont have any in the shops today i'll order online.
Re: FYI... Flat Flyer & Inspector Plecos In Stock at the
village has two types of BNs, still kinda small. but usally the bristled ones are males and the unbristled ones females. The two types were the starlight BN and the common brown BN. both good. prices 12 bucks and 10, respectavily..

There are 2 fish that go by "Starlight" bristlenose and they are quite different. L182 is a large fish, ~9" at maturity, and handle harder higher ph water. L183 is a small fish, only 4" or so and has distinctive white edging on the unpaired fins. It also has less and larger white spots on the body that L182. I have breed L182 and the females do have significant bristles around the lip, just none running up the middle of the head. L183 is also a lot blacker fish than the brownish L182. Planetcatfish.com is a great resource for pictures of plecos but often with limited discriptions.
