Yesterday, I went to look for some native fish near my moms place. (mollies and bowfins) I saw a little bit of activity near the culverts but nothing real special. I walked down to one of my favorite areas and leaned down to stick the dip net in the culvert and came face to face with this guy. He darted into the culvert and I jumped back about five feet and started laughing at myself. After throwing back several dozen small crawfish I decided there was too much vegetation and headed back home. Before I left I threw out an old minnow trap and tied it off. Today I went back and guess who was guarding the trap.
