a buddy's saltwater pond where he grew out this sea turtle caught from the ocean.

He said he found it near the ocean when it hatched so he took a few home and this is one that lived.

Man reminds me I once saw Some turtle lay eggs out n Conroe and left it alone and next morning went back out to check and ducks/raccoons had dug out the hole and ate all the eggs. Pretty sad.

These weren't eggs they were baby turtles already.

Makes me want a turtle even more...

Yeah, they were basically hatchlings.

He had two. One male and one female he hoped.

I haven't seen them in a while. Does he still have two?

the only sea turtle We have here are olive ridliy turtles and I beleave they are protected.

Lake conroe turtles are probably common... no big loss there. People slaughter animals everyday for food and even for novelties. Food chain.
