one of the leleupi's are the same color as your avatar dubc and they all look really similar in body shape but then again i wouldnt know the difference.

tried taking better pictures of the leleupi's but they dont sit still enough for it.



on a lighter note i will have some more mobas coming to strengthen the bloodline when the time comes

oh beleive me i can beleive you on the mobas. I ahve 6 in an 125 and kapampa in an 180 so I can see the difference. I chose to go with dark substrate very similar you yours and love. Lighter would ony make them lighten up but I love them dark and purpleish.

think we were talking about how the dark substrate is causing the leleupi's to look purplish and them actually being leleupi's and how lighter substrate bring out the blue in my mobas.

then i stated that the black substrate actually makes my mobas have a deep bluish purple to them and light substrate would just make them whiter.

adrian was just agreeing that the dark substrate deepens the colors in the mobas and i was just lightning up the conversation about my leleupi's with me getting some more mobas

Hahaha ahhh.  Well I wasn't arguing the fact that u have purple leleupis.  Those are definitely purple leleupis (nice ones at that).  As of now I'd just be afraid to get any cuz they could turn out to actually be purple leleupis like urs, or turn out to be dirty-orange ones as I've seen elsewhere.

Wish the angle was better.  There it looks like a mix between a leleupi, a cylindricus, and a brevis haha.  Whatchu think?

on a lighter note despite my loss of zebras, the rest of my supposed great weekend of fish is going ok.

i picked up 5 moba frontosa babies to add to my future colony from RonR. today. here are some pictures of them during and after acclimation, they will be in the breeders till i build a nursery for them or till they get big enough not to get picked on.

after scoping out RonR.'s nursery and two attempts i have moved the little ones into their new home. at first i wanted to go big so i got a 12qt. tupperware but soon after finishing i found out it was way to big for my tank so back to wallyworld to get the 6qt.

and from the mistakes i made with the first one this one turned out pretty good, here are some pictures i snapped of them.




here's a picture of it in the tank with the older mobas checking out their little roomies new pad.




the stripes on the little ones arent as dark cause these pictures were taken right after the move in but they get super black and these guys love nls growth!

wanted to share some pictures of the 5 little ones i got from RonR. that i released with the older, much bigger ones i had before. i wanted to release them but i got scared and scooped them back up into the nursery till a later date.

yeah the five are the little ones in the corner being checked out by the other bigger buddies.

they were fine in with the big ones for a while but one of the little guys made a mad dash upwards and the whole big crowd though it was feeding time and darted towards the little one 8O  i panicked and scooped them out but they werent harmed in the taking of the pictures just a little spooked i guess. hopefully by the end of this month they will be a bit bigger to be released in with the others.
