Pierceson Le who bought 60 fish from me last week? You have different name, so I didn't recognize you.

Keep feeding them twice a day, until they can't take any more food LOL. They will grow like weed. :emt_thumbs:

They took a 2 months break because I've been behind on water change.

One momma is holding again last night after water change. I currently have over 100 Hongi Sweden juvies, size varies from 1/2"-2". My current breeding group is the original 10 I got from ChrisHelm. My plan is to build a breeding group of 30 and sell off the rest.

I did a water change last night and decided to strip the Moma at day 10. It was a little early and premature. The fry still got big egg sags on them, but the clutch got 25 fry. Picture tonight.

Yes, they definitely deserve a specie tank. I usually don't care so much for Malawi, but I couldn't let these guys go.

Well I've got that tank sitting on my kitchen floor that needs to be resealed. I think by the time I pay to get it resealed, by a stand, hood, lights, filter, I could probably by one off of craigslist just as cheap if not cheaper. The tank is deep and I don't believe there's any way my back will allow me to reseal it. The Hongi are so pretty I think it would be a a shame not to have them as a species only center piece.

I watched a youtube video of a pair spawning in a pot and the male would go out and do a little lip lock with a hap and zoom back into the pot. I thought he was gorgeous.
