the protective enamel stuff?Originally posted by eklikewhoa View PostSend the wife and kids to the mall or something... open all doors and windows like AFK stated, get the fans running and paint!
I spray painted my 180g in the living room and painted the stand in the back living room... had a mini blower fan going and hit the tank with spray paint!
The cheap rustoleum satin black brush on paint looks really nice and the fumes/smell is minimal if you decide to just brush on.
ordering 500ml of purigen on amazon soon...(25.22+2day free shipping love amazon prime!!!)Last edited by cu0ngsayz; 04-04-2012, 01:01 AM.

Tell me about it!Originally posted by cu0ngsayz View Posti guesss back to homedepot for the 50th time the last 2 weeks.. hahaha
I went to buy parts to make a circulation set up to constantly keep my wet/dry filtration going even when the return pump is shut off and even bought extra parts and still had to go back.
Even bought parts to set up my water filling pump for my CRS/Planted tank and ended up having to sacrafice those parts for the above project.

Did you make that? Looks good let me know how it turns out.
I would open the doors and windows and have a buddy help me and scoot the tank out a bit, just enough room to paint it. Put some liners on the ground so you don't get paint on the floor. And paint it with latex paint like EK suggested. You will be much happier with a painted background than one that is taped on and it will look cleaner.Last edited by aggrofishkeeper; 04-04-2012, 12:41 AM.

You could paint with a roller and it would be just as good.
use a latex paint and it'll peel off later if needed.
