Na you should be good. Personally though id add another canister or even a small wet dry if you have the room. That's a pretty good bio load but, if you can filter your water volume 8-10 times an hour you should be good.

Not that I know of. I have bought and ordered them off line and never had any issues in particular. Check your water and honestly is just may have been a bad set of fish.
Depending on there size, they may also be subject to bullying from your other fish.
Could have also just be disputes over territory.

From your videos, it appears you had 2 or more OB's in the same tank. That's not a good idea. They are very aggressive towards each other, and that may be the cause of the death. Just keep 1 in the tank.Vicki

Well keep an eye on the others I keep six myself and haven't had issues but they have also lived in a 150 gallon and are getting ready to move to a 300.

I'd love to have more than 1 in my 90g, but it was my understanding that they were highly aggressive towards each other. If I'm wrong about that, let me know.Vicki

I honestly think it depends more on the environment and the fish it's self. That's what I've seen in the past with mine but with enough landscape mine haven't fought much if at all, they chase each other but the more I read and see I'm starting to see it as more of a game. I've had between 4-7 for over 3 years. But each tank and group of fish is different. Remarkable things can happen in an aquarium. I've had a snow flake eel and a cleaner shrimp form a symbiotic relationship before and I've seen African cichlids and tetras get along in a 30 gallon. Just depends on the fish.Originally posted by Complexity View PostI'd love to have more than 1 in my 90g, but it was my understanding that they were highly aggressive towards each other. This sounds more like the fish was either weak or sick. Keep your confidence up with the fish but add some extra filtration.

Thanks for the info, Barrett. When I rescape my tank again, I might consider adding another one (or two?). I think I'll have the line of sight broken up a little better so I might be able to get away with at least one more.
GunMetal, I think I'd agree with Barrett on this one given the added info. The OB was just weak or sick to begin with. If he was one of the larger fish, double check that you have enough oxygen in the tank. Adding another filter will help with that. Meantime, add current to the water surface to help with gas/oxygen exchange and make sure to keep up with the weekly 50% water changes.Vicki
