If you lay them then that would break the line of sight, also split the shells into two far sides once homed they don't go far. I had about 30 multis, could have been way more in a 20L with. A couple hundred shells and they were like like groundhogs... only poking up occassionally and only out far to grab food.700g Mini-Monster tank

The more the merrier!Originally posted by aquabee View PostI will. I want to add about 4 more, but I want some more females. Poor thing is solo in the tank right now with 5 males. She's mad aggressive, too! She goes after other furcatus and esp the white clouds!700g Mini-Monster tank

From what I hear, the stappersii are the second most aggressive out of all the shellies. I'll add more shells but they're gonna move them to wherever they want and bury the rest. So we'll see. I'm excited to have them! Next week I'll go to Mike's in Spring to pick 'em up.Originally posted by eklikewhoa View PostIf you lay them then that would break the line of sight, also split the shells into two far sides once homed they don't go far. Yeah, those were the #1 most aggressive ones.Originally posted by eklikewhoa View PostI've had gold occellatus and they were pretty feisty too.
Dunno what day I'm going to Mike's but he's free most evenings next week, I think. Was gonna ask him about either Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday. All bleeding stops eventually...

Yeah, I thought that might be the case. It's hard when just looking at a picture. The main thing is that you like it (and, okay, your fish like it, too).Originally posted by aquabee View PostVicki, I took out the middle branching piece like you said, and the tank ended up looking really empty, despite the rocks. I think for now I'll leave it as is since the fish love it so much... and maybe it'll grow more on me later.!

So things are going beautifully. All 6 furcatus and remaining 5 white clouds are awesome, eating well, swimming and having fun. I want to get more furcatus once FG has 'em in. The Purigen is keeping the water crystal clear, no tannins or anything! Today or tomorrow I'll work a little on rockscaping.Originally posted by eklikewhoa View PostHow are things going with this tank?
Had a long talk with Mike a few days ago. He wants to keep the meleagris/stappersii he got shipped in a few more weeks til he can sex them so he can be sure we both get at least a pair of them. In the meantime, he wants to give me what he thinks is a pair of dwarf comps. I kinda cringed at the idea of keeping dwarf comps again but the tank has been so stable lately... almost seems like a shame to not try again. He said the male he had saved up is gorgeous, always displaying, with a bright blue streak on the dorsal fin. Sounds pretty. We'll see... I'll probably come home Saturday night with a pair of dwarf comps, or I'll drive out to Spring again on Sunday to pick them up. And I'll re-scape and add the meleagris whenever they're ready.
Good lookin out, Q!All bleeding stops eventually...
