    My room got to 81degrees.
And my tank got to 85 degrees.
    It was just to much.
I was just wondering if I could do two vortechs in my 75g cause I saw the two vortechs in iampoors 4' 65g sw tank.

I will just get one vortech then and the two fx5's.

Thanks for all the advice everyone.

    Ps.
Lmrc the 2217's will be $80 each.
If I can get some more fish funds together (hospital bills are kicking my butt right now) I would like to get one of them.

I would get a larger tank, but I live at home with my parents until I finish my aas degree In engineering.
    So I am stuck with a 4' 75g.
    So i will just get a single vortech mp40 and 2x fx5's.
I hate fluval canisters in general, but I do like the fx5's.
I also want to upgrade my lights to a nice 4x 54watt t5 ho setup, like a tek or ati fixture.
And I want to get a nice canopy.

+1 on the fluval sucking. I have an older 404 ( got it off CL for $25)and everytime I do water changes I have to take it apart and put it back together just to get it pumping. But I have heard good things on the FX5, also look on the buy/sale section there was a guy there that had one w/ all the media for a good price (<$200), also I saw city pets had them for less than $200 nib. Just trying to support our LOCAL economy

If you must get a Vortech, then for that size or any 4 foot tank I would only recommend a single Vortech. I would put the other $400 into a larger tank.

    i dont like wetdry's

ive got one sitting in my garage that has been there for a few months now, and i wont be setting it up.

you see im add, and i get distracted, an ive been known to overfill my tanks from time to time.
so overfilling a wetdry would be very easy for me

so a wetdry is a nogo.
super crazy canister filtration is the direction i want to go

i have to wait a for the next pay check, but im ordering one then, and then the next check after that im ordering another one.
then i'll be selling my 2217's.
    then at that point i'll have 2x fx5's and a koralia 4.
    935 + 935 +1200 = 3070 GPH = 40.933 x turnover
lol well thats cool, not a big fan of fluval, their canisters suck...all with the exception of the fx-5. i hear its good

ohhh, i know, the mp40's will be down the road, like when they all hit 2.5"tl, but i was just seeing if there is such a thing as to much flow?

cause this is the setup i want when they are bigger, i have half the money saved for the vortechs, so its just a matter of when they get that size.

i know iampoor had 2x mp40s in his ada 120p sw tank.
this tanks dimensions were 48x18x18, very close to my 75g.

so i was just wondering if it was plausible to go with 2x fx5's and 2x vortech mp40's?
