Update!!

There is a ssecond clutch of babies and this is twice as big! The three that bred above are the mothers again and the fourth is not breeding or defective cause she has none unless the babies are going to new moms.

There is like 20+ fry now in the tank and male has unburied a lot of the shells from before!

here are some pictures of them, the pictures are pretty big so that you can see the fry. you will see 2-3 different batches of fry!!

this is just one of the mothers with her fy because the other two females are positioned behind a sand dune so i couldnt get a good shot.

they are the little gray-white blurs in the picture.

female#4 has finally had babies! and i think the some of the others had more too cause now they are everywhere!!!!

i tried counting but only got an estimate.......at least 30 fry swimming around!! im gonna go find some more shells later today.

It was pretty deep, about 3" but it kept landsliding into the shells when I did water changes and the mulits hated it. In some of the pictures you will see the corners of the tank piled high.

I have since siphoned most to all the sand out though and its just a few grains/piles here and there.

interesting i am getting multis from trademan soon and eventually i might need new blood in the colony so if they keep breeding like this i may have to trade for a few of your multis just to add new blood to my colony once i get it going.
