hey Ek, Ultimate Fish in Spring (2920) gets the leopard eels probably every other Tang. shipment. I know Alex personally so I'll mention it next time I talk to him..

However, I had one of the leopards awhile back (6") and got it to feed on pellets and brine shrimp and had it housed with misc. african cichlids successfully. It was not shy at all and was always out swimming in the front of the tank. I lost it because I had a small hole in the top of my tank and it managed to get out :(

one of the socialoble fish you'd ever find.
it gets pretty big though.

Yeah, I had one of these in a 55 when I had my first mixed tanganyikan tank. Pretty cool little eel, after settling in, they are actually pretty active. I can't remember which variant I had, but I did get it from Alex.

I have had all three of the eels you mentioned.  I found them to be heavily nocturnal and pretty delicate.  EK, what are you pulling in through T&T tropheus wise?

From the looks of it I'm very sure its elipsifer. its like 5 years ago though. and that thing was big. at least 18" if not more.

katytropheus, Naw....I don't buy much as far as freshwater from T&T.....reef is a different story.
