    125g Tanganyikan Tank

    This is my newly reconstructed Tanganyikan tank. I reduced the lighting, added a more actinic bulb and moved a bunch of the rock formations. I moved the plants more towards the center to accent the middle rock formation. I was having trouble getting my Fronts to swim across the tank, but with help of some fellow 'boxers' the problem is solved. Just added some really tiny Leleupi (they are hiding fromt the Fronts) and now all i need are some Syn. Cats. I know the bio-filter looks like crap, but it works. Love to hear feedback, comments, criticism, etc.

        I think it's a great start and a nice choice of fish. I don't particularly care for the 'pebble' like rocks. I think if you were to use something else with more variation in shapes/sizes, you could get a lot more out of your scape. I'd also say ditch the plastic plants and have none, or replace them with vals or something.

            Looking good .. Rex. I really like the aquascaping. It gives me a fex ideas for my Tropheus tank. The only thing that I don't like is the sponge filter. Can you move it behind the rock pile on the left?

              For real.... that sponge filter is an eye sore.

              Replace it with a small canister or something.

                  i will burn that damn sponge filter as soon as i get better filtration. I'm trying to trade my 55g tank for a small canister...any takers? I found some rock at Dan's place that looks similiar to EK's rocks in his Illangi tank (or former Illangi...sorry). The river rocks just give the smaller fish a place to hide

                      my wife wont let me do a wet/dry because we just installed hardwood floors in our house. The best i can get out of her is canister filters.

                              At least one 2260!

                              Or 2x 2217's along with those HOB's so you can ditch the sponge filter!
