Houston isn't bad... Just hot and flat... I was stationed in some pretty bad places when I was in the Air Force...

I'm down. Trying to set up a deal for this 28-70. Lol, let's see if it's a walkable lens.

To all the Houston hater, please move away...I need more room on the freeway.

It maybe hot but your not shoveling snow off your driveway, you not dealing with rust on your car, and you dont have to drive 5 miles a hour bc of snow on the road.

I straight love Houston. If feels just like Vietnam, we got the best food period, and most importantly we got jobs.

I fear the balance maybe off BC I only have a d90 right now. You think the d90 is to small for this lens?

You sold your 28-70 or the 24-70 correct? Comparison?

I plan to upgrade to a FX body once I hoard some more fx lens.

if i could move i would.but you said it--job-dat's it. and no you don't have to drive 5mph cause of snow, just traffic. and yes there is good food here, so there is one thing nice about h-town.

and yes the 28-70 is walkable but it will get heavy specially if the camera is a beast

The D90 is a bit light for that lens, but nothing that would impact your ability to take pictures. I did sell the 28-70 for the 24-70. the 24-70 is sharper at 2.8, but above that its pretty neck and neck. The 24-70 does have much less CA wide open though. The 28-70 at 2.8 produces a lot of CA, that was my only grip with it.

The 28-70 images are hard to explain. they are very sharp, with just the right amount of smoothness to them. Sorry for the bad discription. maybe pics would be easier to describe..

How bad is CA at 2.8, it's fixable with software?

                            Thoughts on bokeh at 2.8?

I'm get a battery grip to give the d90 a bit more size....hopefully it didn't feel to bad.

The CA is pretty bad in high contrast situations. It is fixable to an extent in software. Let me see if I kept any pics of he bad CA.
