Yep. And stay away, cuz anti-venom is $6,000 per vial, with the minimum treatment being 6 vials.Originally posted by mnemenoi View PostNope, the Texas Coral snakes are way cool, but terrestrial. The only poisonous water snake in the US are Cottonmouths/Water Moccasins.

Ouch, I suppose I was lucky when I caught my few. They are way crazy elapids and have a kooky family tree. I've only been bitten by a Copperhead thus far and have avoided it again. It certainly hurts, I do not recommend it.In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

When I was stationed at Edwards AFB I knew a guy that would go out on the weekend catch venomous snakes. Milk them for the venom then take the snakes back to where he caught them.Originally posted by moganman View PostI need to get into the venom business. Forget these fish. Nice pics.

Man sounds like something good! Me and my 2 younger brothers always caught many different snakes as kids we were never scared of getting bitten. We would go in the woods and cut off branches to a V at one end to pin the snake down we would surround the snake till one of us could pin it from behind. The good old days kids playing in the woods!Originally posted by sunkenmetal View PostWhen I was stationed at Edwards AFB I knew a guy that would go out on the weekend catch venomous snakes.
