Oh yeah no need for more but I think he was referencing the front of the stand, pics show the back.Originally posted by mistahoo View PostI meant the 2x4s that you put on is plenty enough to ensure the stability. No need to put more in the middle.

Definite +1 on low funds.Originally posted by mistahoo View PostI was considering the same! The pieces look great! I don't see why you would need experience with it?
It's just Malaysian driftwood.
I sketched up an idea that I wanted my tank to look like but on paper, and those pieces would be perfect! Funds are a bit low at the moment though...

Rather be safe than sorry. I've seen these stands before. There good quality but not great.Originally posted by mistahoo View Post+1
Extra support isn't needed. One 2x4 is already plenty enough to reinforce.

Not enough room to add but a 1x4 support. Not really worried about it but I may add a support later.

Double the support is always a good idea ,IMO . Good job! {no extra support in the middle front ?}

I'm seriously considering the driftwood that just came into HAW. anybody have experience with it?
Well fish did arrive and wife followed instructions I gave her. But I wasn't aware of the size. They came in smaller than I expected. Much small. They were supposed to come in at an 1" and came in at 1/2" to 3/4". Needless to say they were thrown into chaos!! Had to run to petsmart and buy two breeder nets. Gotta get rid of my clown loaches cause there trying to eat them. Happy but not happy.
Finished bracing the stand but daughter just got laid down for a nap, so I'm not allowed to do anything inside the house. Oh well. Just gonna have to wait until she wakes up..... Now I'm bored.
