Thanks man. When I got them, was given a hopeful 1m 1f pair. I'm hopeful/curious if the other is just hiding or trying to make a breeding area. I caught one out on driftwood this morning. Hopefully as time progresses they will come out more. It's water change time for everyone, so we'll see how that goes this weekend. Colors are really starting top come out. Really gonna be excited to see these guys in a few months.

Yeah they like to hide. I take pleco caves and point the cave openings towards the front glass. I can usually keep good track of them this way.

If you've seen one, chances are that both are still in there and fine. They're very active @ night. Go check the tank out early morning, you should be able to see one.

If you are willing to spend the extra money, I would install some type of moonlighting if you want to watch your plecos in action! I have some coralife fixture that came with the tank setup and it has blue LEDs. I set up the timers to turn on the blue LEDs when the main lights cut off. That way I can watch my nocturnal fish! It's interesting observing the fish at night especially the bichirs!

I've though about it. But, one I've used moonlighting and had my fish spaz out over them and two after the lights go out, I go to bed. It has been a thought to try them again but that's going to be way down the line in the future. I still want to replace my tops, add another canister, and get this 58 gallon tank I have converted into my new sump. Time and money is what I need.

You can have them cut at a glass shop or go to a LFS and give them the measurements I the tops you need cut. Just make sure you take an 1/8" off each way so that they will fit the way they need to. If I need glass replaced I go to a glass place. If I need a new set of tops, I order them from aqua zoo and they come in, in about a week to two weeks.
