Found a pic that I thought was interesting. This was what happened after I introduced a Florida Gar with my Jardini.. Wasn't too happy to find my Jardini like this in the morning so the Gar had to go immediately.. Second pic is of him now. Last pic was a random pic of my Dat lol and yes I know, I need to clean my glass.

The Dat is about 2.5".. The Jar when it was bitten was ~5". The second picture is of it now and its about ~7" now.

That's cool, I have 7 Indo Dats, and 1 NGT, The NGT is about 4-4 1/2 now but his colors are really nice. I have a 20" silver aro that I might be getting rid of, are you interested in any bigger bichirs? I have a senegal around 7-8 inches I'll probaly sell.

Nice stock. I can't make up my mind on what to stock my tank with. I have a 2" Bala Shark in there and no one in the tank touches it, not even the Jardini. I think I may be getting rid of my polys.. Obtain a Flagtail or 2 and probably a few more Dats. Robert has 3 for sale.. If he hasn't sold them by the time my Jardini is around 9-10", I think I may snag em.

I'm resealing it right. It's just a small leak. I left for about 4 hours and my tank is about 1/5 low. I'm just going to reseal the part thats leaking and add some more silicone around the other areas. It seems that my seams are too thin.

If done right you don't need that much silicone bro, with that much water, I personally would scrape all exposed/accessible silicone, clean with alcohol and bead it back on right and allow a few days for curing.

After a bit of googling I think I may have to repair the primary seal. This involves removing the rim and removing the bottom panel. FML. I wish I had an acrylic tank..

I don't think all that is necessary man, unless its straight up separated you should be good with a nice corner reseal.

If you got to take anything apart you might as well buy a new tank.

Well the first time I resealed this tank, I failed miserably and it leaked pretty fast. Dumped about 70 gallons of water in a matter of 30 minutes. Pretty sure the glass panels separated now that I think about it. Anyway, its a small leak though.. So I'm not sure what to do. You think I should just remove the silicone from the bottom(The leak is somewhere on the bottom and not on the sides) and reseal it?

Personally, as mentioned above, with that much water I wouldn't risk it. I would scrape all corners inside that tank bare and re-do it all.

Small leaks are just the gateway to a much larger leak later on. Once the pressure sits on it and it slowly starting giving that will be the point of failure, the path of least resistance.

F. Removing all the silicone is a PITA. This sorta crap just makes me wanna give up on this hobby.
