I'd like to get one of those huge plastic stock tanks (300gal) from Tractor Supply and make an outdoor turtle/fish pond on my back porch. Don't have the money for that yet though...

Just saw this on the TSC website, but I've never seen one in the stores before.

Agreed! What all's in the turtle tank?

To go into further detail, the wood thingy on the left is a fake piece from Petsmart, the rocks are from the landscaping yard, and the sand is from the creek. The water hyacinth is from the pond at the local park.

It's all a waste though because snapping turtles don't need to sun bathe like other turtles, so it never really climbs out of the water. When it finally outgrows this tank, I might do some soft shell turtles. I can catch them in the creek by my house.

yes, i need to add water lol. i wish all my tanks had auto top-off systems haha\

and i had to crop the photos so you can't see all the mess everywhere around the tank

They need a lot of work and the plants aren't doing so well, but they've hung in there for the past few months or so.
