i have seen some massive tanks on monsterfishkeeprs.com lately, i saw one that was 96x36x30, that would be perfect for the g-cats for the rest of their days.

i think it was like a 450g or something.

anywho, do you think the 240g will need to be upgraded in the future?

You mean Hoover and Jr? Hoov was 28" at last measurement, I think. And if I had to guess about Junior...probably between 22" and 25". Dang!! 450??!! That would be awesome! I can't even imagine filtering a monster like that!

I would love to upgrade the 240g one day...but I think we'd have to go with more depth to increase the size. 8 feet is about as long as I can go without moving to a different house. :P I'd like to see some of those huge tanks over at MFK...what do they keep in them?

I know! I thought of you when I was posting these.

I honestly don't know what kind of gobies they are. I got them about a year ago at FRII. I got 3 different kinds that day. 1 has, like an orange mustache, 1 has orange bands around the end of the body and tail, and one is what they call the 'Neon' goby.

              I love them!

That orange mustache is what made me recognize it! I like to call it lipstick ('Emo Orange' is the official color, I believe ) ). That one looks exactly like the gobies I just recently got, and the place called them "Red Stiphodon Gobies." Still haven't found the exact species, but I think now that you've posted pictures of yours and I can tell what traits are a definite to the species, and not just something showing up in my fish, for instance, I might be able to find it!

Which one is the 'Neon' goby?

I haven't posted one of the neon yet. He said he was having a bad fin day and didn't want to be in a picture.

well, most keep monster sa/ca cichlids, aswell as rays and other monster fish in tanks that size over on mfk.

the one i mentioned had temensis bass, arowanas, and a pair of mototro rays. it was eroubraced with corner overflows with 2x 1" drain holes in each corner along with a balck steel frame custom unfinished stand.

                    it was nice!

i would love to have something like that someday for geos and caks:)
