Peter,
I was thinking about them being to young to hold to term. I think I will let them spit, whenever that may be.

I'd let them spit. They're still young. They might get it right this time. Mine did the same thing.

I had one female holding about a month ago, but I think she ate the eggs. I now have 2 females holding and wondering if I should strip or let them spit? I don't think anyone has got any fry from this bunch yet.

I would say they hold for about the same time, one big difference is that if you get one female to hold and spit, be ready for about 30-50 from each female

Noticed one female packing today, do petros hold for the same time as trophs?

I couldnt find any info at all on that variant. I never saw any breeding, and they were pretty mellow in a 110 long by themselves

Anyone on hear know anything about Chituta? The only thing I can find about Chituta is a stream in North-Western, Zambia, Africa. Chituta is also known as Kiampelembe, Kilutu(googled) .

The Petros always want to be top dog. If they are the same size as your trophs, they will fight them. I seen over and over again with my Famula and Trophs.
As much as I miss my Famula, I'm gald to be rid of them out of my Ikola tank.

Calling you later this evening to see what the plans are for tomorrow.Originally posted by fshfrk View PostI have 40 w/c trews, 20 trew fry(1"-2") with at least 40 moop trophs in a 210. Both groups were breading great. every thing was fine for 9 months but now they have grown and grown.. There is way to many dominate fish with no place to set up a territory. Breading has stopped. So it's time to seperate them and I am sure breeding will pick back up were it left off.

Come by whenever you are in this part of town, I wonder at around what age petros start?Originally posted by peterp63 View PostAwesome! I'd like to see them in person. They should start showing some breeding action soon. Mine were about that size when they started producing.
