So how low is that from the top of the water, and how high above is it from the sand?

And because you got a 4x2x2, does it create that undertow?

Interested to know how it acts in a 4 footer. I hooked mine up to my 75g just to see how it was....at 100% it was doing some real good sand kicking around, a little too good.

Working on it bro. These things don't grow on trees.

Then I must get a 3rd.....one for the 4 footer.

from most of EKs post, he had it in reef crest mode.

The vortech fills up a 4 ft tank pretty well. I have mine positioned 2" lowest than my water change mark. For a 6 ft (and through all the research everywhere), I think 2 would be better.

thats what ek had... but i think most the time he left it in lagoon mode. in the vid with the huge waves the tank is also not filled all the way or running. when filled you cant make waves that big unless you wanna splash it on the floor.

Like I've said in other posts......I like the vortech but not super WOWed by it. Battery back up, lagoon mode, and night mode were the main selling points, respectively.

Donald has suggested that a 125g 6 footer may need two. From what I see right now.....I'm getting another one.

Flow is a lot, but very wide so it doesn't slam the fishes against the glass or anything. Flow being so wide just helps make no dead spots. Also has this wild undertow. Seems like the current of water is being sucked back into the vortech and creates this water movement right over the sand bed where all the fish poo is and the filters get a chance to pick it all up.
