mRoy, how can I contribute to the chicken fund? Maybe we can get one or two more?

its not bad, green hair algae mainly. excel was keeping at bay and now that i am holding off on that for the sake of mosses, val and shrimp i expect it to pick up again. i may break it down some and rescape with crypts so that i can dose again. i may give it the complexity h2o2 treatment as well.

How long is your light cycle? It sounds like the only issue you might be able to alter in that equation. Is a black out completely out of the question? What exact type of algae are you dealing with?

I will be coming from work so wont have all the goodies for my punch, but i will be bringing one of the bottles from my first batch of mead. But i imagine that wont go very far, even with people just tasting it. Soooo i will bring something else too.( havent decided what) I am looking forward to seeing your place guys and as always am excited about the meeting.

Sorry, Tim and Jacob! Keeping it on topic.

Look forward to meeting you too, Nick! ...and all the peoples I haven't gotten a chance to meet face-to-face yet. This party is going to be great, looks like we have a good crowd this time.

Jeff, we have a blender! And bring plenty of mix, we have some tequila and salts sitting around to kick in on that, I believe.

I'll be starting off with 4 whole chickens and anything else is certainly appreciated. Looking forward to a great meeting!!! If anyone has any topics they might like to have discussed or explained we would be happy to help and will try and cover them. I know many threads here seem to discuss substrates (especially Ph altering varieties) so I thought that might be a good one and perhaps covering the topic of pico and nano maintenance and upkeep as we will have quite a few different folks who maintain them and can hear from many different perspectives (from high tech to low). If there is anything you'd like brought up please feel free to post up something you would enjoy hearing about...
