        if you check the gander mountains they have live bait and such. i think theres one on 290 and hwy6 and 45 north and cypress wood or sumthin like that.

          Nick - No, I didn't. After that safari on Sept. 30th, I had my hands full with mollies from the bayou, and a subsequent collecting trip added 8 Fundulus, and another aquarium. Then Fish Ranch II's Gobiosoma...so my apartment is overstocked! But, once I move to a bigger place, that one's on my ToDo List.  :)

          fishingaddict - Thanks, I've never heard of that. I'll check it out, if they have a website online.  :)

            It's not on your side of town, but on Old Humble Road between Beltway 8 and 59 is OT's Bait and Tackle. They are a real bait shop like you are looking for. I bought some goldfish for my outdoor pond from them about 10 years ago. I have never had to buy any since, they have just enough offspring to keep the pond populated. Haven't been in there since but it still looks the same from the outside. It's one of those old places that haven't changed as long as I can remember. They were more than happy to pick me some "pretty" ones out of the tanks.
