looking good, but IMO your asking for trouble with three rock piles in a 4ft tank,
    25g - Reef
    3.5g - Surge Tank
10g - Ichthyophthirius multifilis breeding colony

^ ive read alot about that, how its very important about the rock setup in a 4ft. but either way the tank looks great!

I think I read somewhere that you should only have 2 piles of rock in a 4 ft tank. What's the reason behind it?

I also think it looks good....but I would offer another possibility....try combining all the rocks together to make one large structure....that might make them all happy for a while?

              Looking good though Brian

i had it with 2 seperate rock piles, but when i bought the holey rock from newb, he and i decided to see what it would look like and how it would work out with a reef style tank.
they are doing good, but the dubs are not really liking it i dont think.
i will remove the middle section and see how they do.

I think it looks pretty good man. I have had three piles, and even a reef style in a 4ft tank, but I never had it with some 30 fish in there.

I think you are already needing a 125 come pretty quick.

i would, but the grinches i live with said no huay.
so i am stuck with the 75g

although i may be able to get a 4x2x2 120g down the road

but i dare not try it anytime soon.
it will take months of planning and working over to accomplish

you are probably gonna run into problems with the intake of the FX5 that close to the sand. The impeller is on the bottom of these filters so sand can really wreck them.

im seriously considering going with the "No Substrate" approach.

but thanks, i am going to raise the intake.
