  • What to do with large pleco

I recently (7 months ago) got back into the fresh water aquarium hobby after more than 40 years away from it. I have a single 29g tank set up last Nov and one of my first purchases was a 2" black/brown plecostomus. This fish is now 9" long in a tank with danios, barbs, swordtails and a red tailed shark.

He/She is very healthy in a heavily live planted tank. It hasn't been aggressive to the other fish in any way but is just too big for the tank.

Does anyone want it? It is beautiful and I'm not looking forward to putting it down.

I had a 250g tank many years ago with larger fish like this but can't keep this one in such a small tank. I know - a rooky mistake!

Let me know. I'm in Spring, TX.
