It would be fun to try and fill it up. Plus you wont have to upgrade your tank 1 and done.

I had a 180. I have a 210, 150, 110, 50 and 2-40 breeder tanks. I like the 210 the best but I like a 6ft tank. It gives the fish room to swim back and forth to enjoy them.

having passed through "multiple tank syndrome", i have gotten past that stage and now donated all the 10 gallon tanks to an aquatic science class at my school.

presently i have two 40 gallon breeders for my classroom, each with redundant 80 gallon filtration. at my house i have a show tank 125 with filtration for 210 gallons. all heavily planted with anubias and pothos (learning what plants i don't kill is topic for another thread.)

my gold mollies have been ridiculously healthy, breeding, and full of life since moving to bigger digs. and the cories school/schoal, which is really cool.

now i have to separate my boys and girls because the breeding is out of control. when school starts, boys and girls are going into separate 40 breeder tanks in my classroom.

if i had to tell "newbie me" what i know now, i still wouldn't have started with the big tanks. i wouldn't have the skills, knowledge, patience, or funds to do a 125 tank. i would have been scared out of the hobby. if i could tell a newbie what to do it would be a 20 long or a 40 breeder, always with redundant filtration.
