  • What is the future of hobby forums

It seems that our beloved old forums are dying a very slow agonizing death. I have spent a lot of time trying why that is, and what can be done to reverse that trend.

What are your ideas on this topic. ?

I prefer these forums but Facebook is taking them over.

I think it's because FB is easier and quicker to use, for me - anyway. Maybe I never really understood how to use it. That said, I just saw in your statistics that the most users ever was April 11th of 2016, so...

I still visit this forum pretty regularly, but I also use FB to look for good deal. I think FB is more friendly as far as posting photo, and it has broader base of users.

I wouldn't say that forums are dying. Internet presence overall is expanding, so I'd think that both forums and FB are expanding. That said, I think the younger generation are more familiar with FB. FB is where people go for friends/family/news, so it's much simpler to add hobbies to that mix as well. Also, I never had issues figuring out this forum, but it seems that FB is more user-friendly for the technologically-challenged. Just my take on it all

I had added tapatalk to my phone a few weeks ago. As I get it figured out, it's getting easier to be part of fishbox.

I like Facebook for selling and buying. Its more instant. But when looking for advice or doing research on a topic I much prefer the forum.

Agreed. Although FB has made improvements to this aspect by adding a search feature, it doesn't compare to the years of info that some of these forums contain

For me, FB is FishBox. I know not what you speak of with the other one.
