  • For Sale: Great Deal: 75 Gallon High-Tech Planted Aquarium

Unfortunately, just 10 months after I set up this cool tank, I am moving out of state. My loss is your gain. . . Everything goes as a single package. If you want to get into planted aquariums, this is a great opportunity to get a fantastic setup with everything you need to succeed from day one.

Aside from the tank, you are getting a huge amount of supplies, equipment, and livestock with this deal. This is priced to move and I therefore ask that the buyer provide all labor to move it. Once you have it set up at your house, I would be happy to make a house call to provide help with getting it going. This tank has been a great pleasure to me and I want to help you get started so you can enjoy it as much as I have.

    What's Included:

    • 75 gallon tank with manufacturer stand and glass lids.
    • 1 x Fluval 406 Cannister (I replaced the impeller earlier this year, it is basically silent)
    • 1 x Whisper 60 HOB filter
    • Deluxe Planted Tank CO2 Package ($359):
    o Milwaukee MA957 Regulator
    o Milwaukee MC122 pH Controller
    o New 10lb Cylinder
    o CO2 Glass Diffuser
    • 1 x Eheim Jaeger drop-in heater ($31)
    • 1 x Fluval 48" T5 HO, 2 x 54W Lighting System by Hagen (new $160)
    • 2 x GE Starcoat 6,500K T5 Bulbs, 48"
    • 1 x 48" Original light (with newish 10K light tube)
    • Eheim Auto Feeder
    • Plant Pruning Tools:
    o 24" Stainless Steel Marlin Shears ($60)
    o 24" Stainless Steel Forceps ($58)
o XL Premium Stainless Tweezers, 18.9" long ($25)
    • Livestock
    o 10 x Slim Rasboras (1")
    o 10 x Gold Tetras (1")
    o 3 x Siamese Algae Eaters (2-3")
o 1 x Bonus Rasbora (hitchhiker from Fish Gallery)
    o 75-100 x Red Cherry Shrimp
    o 30 x Ghost Shrimp
    o 6-8 x Amano Shrimp
    o 10 x Thai Micro Crabs
    o 5 x Nerite Snails
    • Seachem Supplies:
    o Flourish, 2L -- 100% Full ($32)
    o Nitrogen, 2L -- 90% Full ($69)
    o Prime, 2L -- 10% Full ($100)
    o Iron, 2L -- 50% Full ($69)
    o Potassium, 2L -- 75% Full ($69)
    o Trace, 2L -- 50% Full ($69)
    o Phosporus, 2L -- 90% Full ($69)
    o Paraguard, 500mL -- 100% Full ($25)
    • Other Supplies:
o Miscellaneous spare Fluval filter media for the canister
o 3 x 12-pack boxes of Tetra brand cartridges for the HOB
o Marina fry breeding box (never used)
o Purigen (about 10% of the 2L jug is left)

Moving Considerations: You may want to move it with the substrate and the rooted plants in place. The big manzanita wood with attached plants could be pulled out in one piece and put in a water-filled tub. Another tub for the granite rocks and loose plants. If you can move the tank, substrate, with a bit of water, then you can probably save the tiny shrimp and micro crabs.

Price: I listed a few item prices above to give you an idea of what I paid for much of this setup earlier this year. I bought premium supplies and top-of-the-line equipment. I easily have over $1,400 in this setup, but I am asking just $700 so this deal will be gone fast.
