  • Help! Yellow watchman goby has a broken mouth

    Hello everyone,

I need you help for my yellow watchman goby. It has a large hole on his mouth, almost half of the mouth! I just got it for 2 weeks. It pairs with a tiger pistol shrimp.

Does anyone know what happened to him and what should I do? He can eat. There is no way I can catch him.

    Appreciate for any help!

As long as there is no sign of infection. I would just keep him feed. I have seen fish grow back part of the bottom lip. But even if he never grows is back. He has caricature.

Thank you for your advice! I saw some white stuff on his upper lip, as shown in the picture. Is it a sign of infection?

I don't think so. Most the time you see redness with infection

The white spot is gone. It may just be sand. The horrible hole is still there. I asked LFS. They said it should be infection. And it may die slowly. I feel very sad.

they could be wrong too. Keep the tank water clean as you can. Everything could come out just fine.

Thank you! I will try. Does it have any side effect to inverts?
