On 1-6-16 My Female had babies again. Starting to see some small fry. This was well short of the 55 to 60 day GP. It was 42 days. She was real big. I was going to remove all the other Fish. (Male's and Fry) but she had them be for I could. I am seeing a few small fry but thought there would be more.

I am also moving a small group to the big tank. Hope they get along well with the Discus.

Update> My female gave birth last night. This is her 4th and well short of the 55 to 60 day gestation. In fact it was close to the same as last time. 44 days. So some body was wrong about the 55 to 60 days.
I haven't seen any fry yet but they hide well. They should start to show them self's after a few days. It is time to start thinking about another tank for them.

Also the group I put in with the discus had to be moved back to their tank. I think it was the small Tapajo's they didn't get along with.

I'm so glad they are doing so well! I'm glad this and other species of Goodeid are appreciated by others in the hobby.

                      There is something
fishy going on here, and I kinda like it!

Up date is long over dew. They are still doing well. there are about 50 in the group and now have been broken in to two tanks. The 40g hex and a 75g tank. The plant in the 75g. is the amazon sword out of the 40g. It over grow the tank and had to be move. the fish love it so they are doing well in the 75g. Will be pairing up breeders in the Hex and planning on starting up a 30g to add another pair. Picture of the 75g.

I haven't been seeing any fry in their tanks. So I got a breeder box and removed the adults out of the planted tank. After I moved them now I see little fry in both tanks. I'm going to still use the breeder boxs to try a keep more of the fry alive.
